About support for the disabled

Students who are disabled may receive support for their studies. This is also the case for those who have documented reading and writing difficulties. It is important that you contact the university coordinator for students with disabilities already when registering for a program or a course.

Our student counsellors make sure that a special action plan is prepared. Such an action plan can also be temporarily drawn up in case of illness or if an accident has occurred. Examples of support available are: note-taking during lectures, sign language interpreters, audio course books, more time during exams or a different type of exam.

All higher education should be accessible to everyone who has the potential to benefit from it, regardless of background or disabilities. The objective of the Department is that all students as far as possible should be able to study on equal terms.
