Short facts about us

The Faculty of Law offers a strong research environment and extensive international cooperation. We have a uniquely developed - and highly appreciated - training model that has made law education in Uppsala one of Scandinavia's most popular courses. Thanks to the participation of all prominent researchers in the teaching, the education is of a very high class. The research also benefits from the input and critical questioning that students provide.

For a number of years now, basic education has been gradually expanded and now two annual intakes are made. About 2,000 students study at undergraduate level, where the law program is the largest.

Research is currently conducted in a total of 15 research topics and 9 areas of civil law. The research is in a very expansive and creative phase. A new recruitment of researchers has taken place in recent years and several research areas have been developed and strengthened.
