Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot
The Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot starts with the teams submitting two petitions in writing, one for the plaintiff and one for the defendant, and concludes with oral pleadings in Vienna at the beginning of April.
The basis of the competition is an international trade conflict where the contestants will try to solve the problem by using the United Nation’s convention on international purchases of goods and international commercial arbitration.
Anyone who studies law at the higher education or university level is welcome to participate, doctoral students as well. There is no limit to the size of the teams, but they must consist of at least two people. However, it is important that the contestants have an excellent command of the English language and are well-read in the relevant chapters of international law.
