Harsh Vardhan Bhati, new doctoral student in environmental law

Harsh Vardhan Bhati is starting as doctoral student in environmental law. He is joining the Uppsala University Multidisciplinary Graduate School in Sustainable Development at Campus Gotland.

The law faculty participates in the Uppsala University Multidisciplinary Graduate School in Sustainable Development at Campus Gotland with the project "Getting the Balance Right? Applying Legislation when Seeking a Balance between Energy Transition and Conservation of Cultural Value" (Väga rätt? – Tillämpning av lagstiftning i avvägningen mellan energiomställning och bevarande av kulturvärden).

This interdisciplinary collaboration between the law faculty and department of art history examines how the political goals of protecting cultural heritage and combating climate change are implemented in law and in practice. We welcome doctoral student in environmental law Harsh Vardhan Bhati to our faculty and to the Uppsala University Multidisciplinary Graduate School in Sustainable Development. Prior to joining our faculty, Harsh taught Environmental Law and Interpretation of Statutes to senior law students at Jindal Global Law School. Harsh also practiced as an Environmental Lawyer and has been a member of the Bar Council of India since 2015.
