New Uppsala professors to be inaugurated

12 november 2018

On Friday 16 November, during the University’s solemn ceremony for the purpose in the University Main Building, 45 new Uppsala professors will be inaugurated. Three of them are the Faculty of Law’s professors Eric Bylander (Civil and Criminal Procedural Law). Lotta Lerwall (Administrative Law) and Anna-Sara Lind (Public Law).

Every November, Uppsala University holds an Inauguration of Professors at which new appointees are “installed” in their respective positions by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Eva Åkesson. In connection with the Inauguration, brief lectures are given by all the new professors to present their research. These take place earlier in the Inauguration week or during the actual ceremony.

Eric Bylander and Lotta Lerwall held their respective Inauguration lectures (in Swedish) on 12 November. They followed a short introduction by the Faculty Dean, Professor Mattias Dahlberg.

Titles of their respective lectures:

Eric Bylander, Den datoriserade domaren (‘The Computerised Judge’).

Lotta Lerwall, Skola under rättslig attack (‘Youth Education under Legal Attack’).

Anna-Sara Lind will hold her lecture, Den ofantliga rätten (‘The Immensity of Law’), during the actual Inauguration in the University Main Building on 16 November
